Fun Outdoor Activities That Are Also Workouts!
This season is always a wonderful time—everyone is emerging into the sunny, warm daylight, after 9 months inside avoiding the winter chill. This is an excellent time to get back into exercising in the fresh air—but are you thinking “What is something new and exciting I can try this year”? Well, my friends, do I have the blog for you.
Kayaking. This may not seem that accessible, but a number of cities are now offering kayaking tours, rentals, and docks for you to give it a go! Get a double for you and a friend, or get your own and show off your amazingly impressive upper arm strength. Find your nearest rental place online!
Paddle Boarding. This is also a unique, water-based activity! Much like kayaking, rentals are becoming rapidly more available! It works out your core, while also making you look cooler than all the other beachgoers.
Rollerblading/Roller skating. Whether you’re bladin’ or skatin’, you’re enjoying one of the most fun forms of workout plus transportation out there. Throw on a helmet and some protective padding, and go show the world how much fun exercising can be!
Frisbee Golf. This is an excellent way to hang out with friends and also get your steps in. Find a local course, and just hang out while you enjoying this more “relaxed fit” workout. It’s truly one of the most fun outdoor activities, trust me.
Kickball. It’s not just for the schoolyard kids, folks! Get a group together and go head-to-head in an ultimate kickball tournament. Create a fun and competitive space to stay active together!
