Rainy Day Date Ideas
Sign up for an escape room.
This is a great relationship-building rainy day date. This activity requires a lot of communication and problem solving, which can help your relationship outside of this activity too.
Cook together.
Learning a new skill (or a new recipe) can really strengthen your bond with each other. You can try an actual cooking class or try a new recipe in the comfort of your own home. And if you're feeling competitive, you can challenge your partner to a cook off!
Indoor rock climbing.
If you're looking for an activity that requires a little more physical exertion, try indoor rock climbing. Many gyms have a rock climbing wall and there are quite a few dedicated spaces built just for indoor rock climbing. This activity allows you to work as a team and requires communication to help each other get to the top.
Challenge each other to a game night.
Turn off the TV and enjoy a game night in with your partner. Play all the board games you used to as a kid, or pick up a puzzle and work on completing it together. If the nostalgia starts to kick in, take turns sharing some of your favorite memories from your childhood as a way to connect and get to know each other even more than you already do!
Check out a local museum, art gallery or aquarium.
A rainy day can be a great excuse to play tourist in your own city. Plus, you might learn a few things about your partner once they start talking about their favorite art, exhibit, or animal.
