With all the lights and decorations this time of year, we all feel the pressure to make the holidays extra magical. Especially after a year not being able to be with family and friends.   • Make a Budget—and STICK TO IT! This is easier said than done, we know that. However, it is the most effective way to make sure you are able to enjoy your holidays and get everything you need. Be realistic, be honest and do your best to not go outside of the limits you set for yourself. You will feel loads better if you can get to the new year with some extra cash!

  • Get creative. There are thousands of ways to get gifts decorations on the cheap. For gifts, try using a secondhand option, think Vinted, ThredUp or OfferUp for mobile apps, a thrift store or going in on a gift with others to keep costs low. Want fancy decorations but don’t want to break the bank? Pinterest! It may sound obvious, but this DIY paradise will give you more ideas than you will know what to do with.

  • The early shopper gets the deals! If you already know what you want to get someone for their gift, look online now! Amazon and other retailers will also provide ways to watch items and save you money!

  • Be flexible and have options. We would all love to give our loved ones the newest and best things to make their holiday great, but that’s not always possible for those who need to watch their spending. Have several different gift ideas for each person you’re buying for, and have options within different price points. This will make it easier to prioritize and get a realistic idea of how much your holiday haul will cost.
