How To Inspire Your Loved Ones To Eat Healthy

Don't criticize or condemn others for their choices.
We're all human. And our response to criticism is often defensiveness rather than immediate openness to change. So, converse on an even playing field and try to understand why your friends and family have made the nutrition decisions they have in the past.

Avoid an argument.
Advocating healthy choices is not about debating the best temperature to cook food at for improved digestion. It's about being a role model and educated resource for others who look to you for insightful advice. Arguing just wastes time and energy, especially if it's with someone who's not ready to make a change.

Be a good listener.
Encourage others to talk about themselves. Understand the person on the other end of your conversation and listen to what they're saying - you might find some common ground.

Actively try to see the other person's point of view.
We can often put ourselves in someone else's shoes to a certain extent because we've been there. Just because you're a vegan now doesn't mean you were born eating that way. Share common experiences and learn from one another's point of view.

Ask questions instead of giving orders.
Let's face it, none of us really enjoy being told what to do. So try making suggestions in the form of questions to help guide the other person to come up with a decision on their own.
