Curb Your Sweet Tooth

Cravings for something sweet tend to strike mid afternoon or late night.  To help manage these cravings and stay on track with our caloric goals, we can reach for fruit. 

Here are some great fruit (and non-fruit) options:

  • Apple with nut butter
  • Naturally sweet prunes (6 prunes are only 100 calories)
  • Have a cup of berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Try sweet veggies (butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots)
  • Add dark chocolate to fruits
  • Skip food altogether and go for quick walk
